Random Act of Kidness

Dear Kind Person in Front of us in the Drive through at Filibertos,

Thank you for purchasing our dinner late Saturday Night. It was an extremely kind gesture from you as a complete stranger and really made Jeff and I feel the Holiday Spirit.

Sincerely,

The Johnson's

P.S. Now I get the pleasure of figuring out how to pay it forward for someone else.

Merry Christmas!!

Not much to blog about

Not too much has been going on over here these days.

Jeff had a birthday. We celebrated with family and friends and had a good time doing so.

Christmas is well on it's way, the shopping is done and the decorations are up.

We got some new bookcases ( new to me) for our family room for free. I will post some pictures soon.

I haven't been in the Christmas mood all of December and I am hoping that it will kick in before it's too late. I just need to find my reason for the season this year.

That's all for now.

Guilty Pleasures

I love this show!
It is called Tough Love and is on VH1 on Sunday nights.
Steve, the man featured above, is my hero. He knows how to put some awful women in their places! He rocks my world right now.
Last season I only caught the last couple of episodes and this season I have faithfully watched them all, so far.
I hate that I like these stupid reality shows but I am allowed guilty pleasures, right?

New Table & Chairs

Last night I got a new table and 6 chairs.
How much did I pay for them you ask? $0

My parents have been wanting to get a bigger table and they bought a new one and gave
Jeff and I their old one.
I am so lucky to have amazing parents that so freely give of their things to their children.

This table is still in really good condition and it has a leaf in it so I can fit more than 4 people at it!!
I am already totally in love with my new table! I feel like it's Christmas.

Thanks Mom and Dad, you guys are the best!

Surprises

Nothing much new to update. Jeff is healing up quite nicely.
We went to the doctor yesterday and he needs to start using it more, which he is not too thrilled about. But his progression is right on track.

I still am looking for a job, this is an incredibly disheartening process, but I have FAITH that
everything will work out the way it is supposed to. So I just try to keep a happy face.

Today my sister called and asked if she and Nixon could come over, which I said of course
and she showed up with these beauties...
Brightened my day and my home, thanks Kristy and Nixon! You two made my day today!

Unemployment

Just found out the I qualified for Unemployment Benefits today, at least now I feel like I am sort of contributing to our family!

And if anyone wants to break me out of my house, please feel free to do so.
I am feeling a little stir crazy at this point and need a life. However, I need a "CHEAP IF NOT FREE" life because Jeff and I are both at home right now!

Talk about stir crazy when you have a husband that is disabled!! WOW!

Hope

I was inspired to write down my thoughts on hope from reading a friends post about her thoughts on Hope.

Within the last week, I have realized how special HOPE is.
My surgery has given me hope.
The medical issues I was dealing with before, left me without hope.

If you have hope, you can accomplish anything.
When I looked up HOPE in the dictionary, this was the definition that I loved the most.
1. To look forward to with confidence or expectation

This is how I feel now.
I was dead before without hope and now I feel alive again, renewed and ready to combat the world!
From now on, my house will be a house of HOPE.

Our air conditioner has been broken since Sunday and this is what I have felt like ever since.
Thankfully, Jeff's surgery for today got pushed back a couple of hours so he is on the roof
trying to see what he can do before we are doomed to reside on hotness.

The Weatherman says it is supposed to cool down, but when in the history of Arizona have we
ever been able to rely on a weatherman?
I am praying with all my might that my big strong intelligent man can let us live in coolness today!!
