Reflections of Christ

For mutual last night we took our girls to the Visitor's Center and we were able to view trhe new exhibit there called "Reflections of Christ" done by Mark Mabry and many others. It was one of themost incredible experiences I have EVER had. You can view some of the documentary about these photos here: http://mabrystudios.typepad.com/reflections_of_christ/

I wish I could put into words how I felt when I was looking at his pictures, but I was actually speechless. I felt a surge of the Spirit, and it was a humbling and amazing experience. So if you haven't gone, PLEASE GO SEE THIS EXHIBIT. You won't regret it. I feel an added sense of renewal to my testimony of my Savior.

So needless to say, mutual was SO worth going.

sLakEr

I know I promised pictures of our new trees that we had planted, but my PC at home is not working as well as I would like it to and I'm not a Pro and uploading pics to our Mac yet, so I'm hoping to get them up soon, but nobody probably really cares all THAT much, so oh well! I have mutual tonight so maybe tomorrow?? Yes, I said mutual, I feel like I'm the beehive all over again, not the leader!!

President Gordon B. Hinckley, passed away Jan. 27th 2008

I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings in addition to all of those that I know will be shared on blogs everywhere today. I was so overcome when I heard the news of President Hinckley's passing. I began to shed a few tears and Jeff and I both were at a loss for words. He was the prophet of my generation and I will miss him dearly. I am SO grateful for the knowledge I have of the restored gospel and knowing that we will meet again. I can't even imagine how happy he must be to be with his sweetheart again. I know that the next prophet will be just as great, but President Hinckley will always hold a special place in my heart. "God be with you till we meet again"....

Back to life...

I am finally back to somewhat normal health, and No I'm not preggo, Jeff is thanking his lucky stars for that. I'm just EXTREMELY tired, and am HAtINg the fact that I have to get out of bed again at 4:30am for work, but I do get to leave at 2pm, so I can't REalLy complain!

In other news...Jeff and I have finally set a plan to landscape our front yard!! We are SO excited and I can hardly wait to get RID of our dirt in the front yard. The first addition is coming on Wednesday. We are having 5 of these planted...
These are called Crepe Myrtle's. They are all going in the front yard and I am SO EXcItEd. I will take some pics as soon as they get planted.

In some mORe other nEws....I got released as the R.S. Chorister and am now a Beehive Advisor in YW!! I was pretty nervous about it, but I gave my first lesson yesterday and it went really well.  The girls are really fun and excited to have someone so close to their age as a leader. Jeff was released as a Scout master and is now the 14 year old Sunday School Teacher, which he is LoVInG!!!!!

My sniffles are still going strong!

So I guess I should give some kind of update....I am still feeling under the weather, and the doctor said I should start feeling better by Friday, so I am crossing my fingers because this whole sickness thing is the PITS.

Yesterday was my first day back to work in a week, I know, not the kind of vacation I was wanting. I didn't even work a full day, 6 hours, and went home to take a nap. I slept for 3 hours and then went to bed at 9. I'm thinking maybe I have Mono again...I had this about 3 years ago. I am seriously SO tired. I'm sleeping a TON, but I never quite feel like I'm getting enough! I'm hoping to make it through he weekend and be back to normal again by Monday!!

UGH!!!

Oh yes, that is right my friends, I am sick again!! I finally got into the doctor today and I had a temperature of 102 and a Severe Upper Respiratory Infection. I thought I had gotten rid of my last one, but I guess it just subsided and stayed dormant for a while and came back full force!! I was okay the first part of the week, and made it successfully through Andy & Lisa's wedding yesterday morning, but by last night I was not feeling like 100%. I got about 2 hours of sleep so when it was time to go to work this morning, my body said NO WAY JOSE!!
So I went to the doctor, she put me on some REALLY good meds, and Chowder and I took a NICE LONG nap. I am still not feeling all that great, but I needed to get out of bed for a while.
Jeff is working the home show ALL weekend so I am pretty much flying solo on trying to nurse myself back to health. I hope everyone else is going to have a GREAT weekend!

Celebrity Look-A-Likes...again

So I did this again with a less squinty eyed pictured, and I STILL got the all of the Asian look-a-likes. I think there is a conspiracy.

I also did Jeff's and thought it was extremely funny and felt the need to post it. Ashton Kutcher and Axl Rose are my 2 personal favs!! I got a good hearty laugh on this!!

I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it...

For Christmas, Jeff's brothers got Guitar Hero for Xbox. So needless to say that Jeff and I became VERY addicted and have spent a LOT of time over at his parent's house!! After much thought and deliberation, we finally decided that this was something that we JUST had to have at hour house. So, in the next week or so, we will be receiving an

and!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeff and I looked in every store around the valley and everyone was sold out, so we decided to just order it online. I can hardly wait!! We also bought Dance Dance Revolution, so I can get my workout on and burn some calories!! Say it with me now..."LUCKY!!" I know, you are all SO SUPER jealous and all want to come over and play with me when it comes in.

Who do I look like to you?

So I was kind of bored at work and thought this might be fun. But my question to you all is why do I look like so many Asian actresses? Do I look Asian to you all?? WEIRD!!

Here we go again!!!

So after much trial and tribulation and a LOT of hours spent re-designing my blog, I think I have finally settled on a new look. Everything I had was deleted, so I had to start from scratch and input things ALL over again. I almost cried, but decided that it was not worth crying over.

I am back to work today after a nice and long vacation away and I am SUPER bummed. The Beach Boys song "Wouldn't It Be Nice" keeps ringing in my head over and over.

Christmas and New Year's were a BLAST. Jeff and I went up to Christopher Creek to my sister-in-laws Cabin and played in the chilly snow for a few days. Jeff remembered the camera, but forgot the battery, so I don't have ANY pictures to remember the trip. For New Year's Eve we went to our friends house in good old Queen Creek and again, forgot the camera. We had lots of fun and midnight kisses, which are my personal favorite!! I am slowly learning to just have my camera with me where ever I go so I can always be prepared to catch the GREAT blogging moment. So for now, all you get is descriptive words!!

I hope everyone had a great New Years, I am staring on a fitness and health plan today, so we shall see how it goes! Wish me LUCK!!

Take Luck!!

Cheers to the New Year!

Got this personality thing from One Happy Momma. Thought it was neat!!

So I am having a bit of trouble with my new template, so I apologize for the weirdness. Hopefully I can get it straightened out pretty quick here....
