Ode to my car...

As some of you may know...I used to own this beautiful piece of machinery that you see here. My little green bug. This was the best car I have ever had. Well, back in June we sold it. I cried, I know, lame. However, I see my exact car almost everyday because the girl that bought it works right by our house. How do I know it's my car you ask? There is a scratch on the back bumper that hasn't been fixed yet. So I know when I see my car.

So for some reason, today, seeing my car made me miss it OH so much. Don't get me wrong. I love driving our truck because Jeff has pimped it out for me, but I really do miss my little green machine!

I have a favor....

One of Jeff's dear friends, Brett Whipple, was involved in a terrible accident yesterday on the US 60 and Greenfield at 2:15pm. He had pulled over into the emergency lane to change a flat tire and a good samaritan pooled over to help him. An old man had a heart attack and drove straight into Brett and his helper. The driver was killed and later on so was the good samaritan. Brett is currently in critical condition with severe head trauma.

I ask that all who read this keep Brett and his sweet family in your prayers. Thanks!

Meet the Johnson's

Okay....So I decided that I really haven't been very personal with my blog and there might be some of you bloggers out there wanting to know a bit more about Jeff and I and about our house and where we live. So here it goes....Jeff and I have been married for just over a year. We live in Mesa in the Val Vista/Baseline area. Jeff works for the Johnson family business of Garage Doors. They do sales, installations and service. He has worked for his dad pretty much his entire life and depending on the day, he might enjoy what he does. I work at B. McLaughlin Assoc, Inc. We are a aid to clinical research companies. Our main contractor is GlaxoSmithKlein. I am a Data Analyst and I absolutely 100% LOVE my job. It's a joy to go to work every day.

Jeff serves as the 11 year old scout leader and I am the relief society chorister. WOO HOO! We were serving in the nursery and after that vowed to never have children. At least not 14 two year olds at one time.

Jeff is getting into the hunting season and can hardly contain his joy. He went dove hunting last Saturday and is going again tomorrow. I can't really say that I have any hobbies. By the time I cook dinner and clean up the house, I am ready for bed.

So...there you have it. I got a bit more personal!

Chowder the Great

This is our little pooch Chowder. He is the silliest cockerspaniel I have ever met, but I love him all the same. Jeff bought him as a b-day present for me and our lives have never been the same since. The best part about Chowder is the little tuft of hair on the top of his head that never seems to lay down. Chowder is the most loveable dog in the whole world. Everywhere I take him, he wants to meet everyone. He is the newest addition to the Johnson household!
