The Low Down

Okay, so here is the low down on my life at this point:

After leaving my previous job, thought I might look into going back to school.
Want to go into the Medical Assisting Program.

Applied for bunches of jobs. However, this time my attitude about going back to work is much different and I am much more appreciative of the time The Lord has allowed me to have at home.

Researched Federal Grants, made an appointment with Pima Medical Institute to see what their program entails.

Some GREAT peeps in my ward offer to help me out and give me work to do from home, that also helps them out, so I don't feel like a total failure at life.

Get a call from a potential employer, have a great interview, says she will call, RIGHT....I've heard that before.

Go meet with the school, get totally pumped about the program, fill out FAFSA paperwork to get a grant.

Get a call from Earlier Interview saying they would like to hire me.
It is part time, M, W, F, but I am thinking this feels right to me.
However, realize that with this new schedule, school just will not work into my schedule. (Insert sad face here)

P.S. I have been sick the last 2 weeks and am now losing my voice.
Go to my first day on the job, feel good about the office, good about the job, GREAT about my boss. Excited to be working again, and with a bonus of only 3 days a week. So not a huge culture shock about working again. (Voice totally not present, neat!)

Get home and get an email that I am denied the federal grant, thinking maybe it is just not in my cards right now and to be happy with the place I am in.
(Insert Happy Face)

And now we are all up to date, however, I still cannot talk! YEAH!!!

A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes

Fall 2010 this little beauty will be on the market!
If I had money, I would be Pre-ordering this little number right now.

Jeff and I got to drive an older, non-Denali, one on our trip back east 2 years ago and I have been dying to own one ever since!
If there was ever a wishing a tree, I would be searching the globe to find it.
Never in a million years did I ever think I would dream of a car. I guess that is what marriage to a car man does to you?!
I need, I need, Gimme Gimme, Gimme Gimme!!

L.O.V.E.

Valentines Day has always been a non-major holiday for me. I like that we celebrate love, but I hate all of the commercial garbage that makes it so overwhelming sometimes.

So we had a super low key day and I wouldn't have changed it a bit! He made me breakfast this morning and we called it good! We had some busy stuff going on for church and had a great day.

However, yesterday a "special" valentine showed up at our door, who will remain nameless, and told me to go and buy myself a new dress for valentine's day and this is what I chose:
I found my dress here
(as you can tell this is not me, but it is totally my body double!)

I am so lucky to be married to my best friend. I know without a doubt that he was meant for me and nobody else. I love you Jeff!

The Job

So I don't want to go into any details because I am not ready to share my feelings on the subject yet, and I am a little embarrassed by the whole situation.
However, the job didn't work out the way I had hoped and I left after the first day and decided it to be in my best interest to NEVER go back.

The Lord has something else in store for Jeff and I, although I have no idea what it may be, I know for sure that job was not in the plan.
He is my guide and I am willing to follow whatever he needs me to.

Back to square one, but with a better outlook on the course ahead.

TA DAH!!!

Before:
And After:
I haven't put all of my stuff back in them yet because I still want them to dry a little bit more, but I AM IN LOVE!
This was truly a labor of love and I couldn't have done it without the help of my momma!!

Now I can finally get my house back in order. It's been in shambles for a week now, I was starting to go a little hostile!!

Tell me, what do you think?

Projects

Today I whipped out my Modge Podge and did a little project that has been on my mind for a while.

I am still painting shelves for my bookcases so in the meantime, I did these today:
I have been looking for cute magazine holders for some time now, but all of the Cute ones have been a bit too pricey for my budget.
So my mom gave me these really old ones that she had and was no longer using.
So I decided to make them my own and here is what I came up with.

I loved the way they turned out!
And now they match my bookshelves perfectly.
