The Low Down

Okay, so here is the low down on my life at this point:

After leaving my previous job, thought I might look into going back to school.
Want to go into the Medical Assisting Program.

Applied for bunches of jobs. However, this time my attitude about going back to work is much different and I am much more appreciative of the time The Lord has allowed me to have at home.

Researched Federal Grants, made an appointment with Pima Medical Institute to see what their program entails.

Some GREAT peeps in my ward offer to help me out and give me work to do from home, that also helps them out, so I don't feel like a total failure at life.

Get a call from a potential employer, have a great interview, says she will call, RIGHT....I've heard that before.

Go meet with the school, get totally pumped about the program, fill out FAFSA paperwork to get a grant.

Get a call from Earlier Interview saying they would like to hire me.
It is part time, M, W, F, but I am thinking this feels right to me.
However, realize that with this new schedule, school just will not work into my schedule. (Insert sad face here)

P.S. I have been sick the last 2 weeks and am now losing my voice.
Go to my first day on the job, feel good about the office, good about the job, GREAT about my boss. Excited to be working again, and with a bonus of only 3 days a week. So not a huge culture shock about working again. (Voice totally not present, neat!)

Get home and get an email that I am denied the federal grant, thinking maybe it is just not in my cards right now and to be happy with the place I am in.
(Insert Happy Face)

And now we are all up to date, however, I still cannot talk! YEAH!!!

I am sorry you are not eligible for the grant. In order to get the Pell Grant you almost have to be living poverty to be eligible. Not fun! If you ever have any other questions on financial aid don't hesitate to email me :)
So glad you have a new job! Yeah!

HOORAY on the new job, that rocks ! And it's even better that it's part time. Then you can still enjoy time at home. Full time sucks : ) Glad to hear things are working out. Oh and I remember applying for a grant at Pima too. I also got denied. I was going to look into the Respitory Therapist class.

Wow. You've had quite the roller coaster ride lately haven't you? I'm glad you are a positive person and are able to see the blessings in your life and still laugh about the stuff that stinks. ;)That's the only way to do it.

So glad that you feel better about this job than the last one. I like that you are looking at all of your options. Hope you get your voice back soon! Or maybe your hubby likes the sexy whisper voice you have going on now?

Life is crazy that way...making things a little bit uncertain for a while and then dropping gifts right in our laps!! :)
I'm so glad that you are finding positive things in your life.

So - the fact that you made those cookies and that you are now my visiting teacher makes me VERY happy. They were SO good!

Congrats on the new job too! :)

If it makes you feel better we ALWAYS get denied for FAFSA. The good news? You always get a big fat return on your taxes because of your school expenses. :)
