Personality Test

Amazingly enough I agree with quite a bit, however this was my favorite part:

Providers are extremely sensitive to the feelings of others, which makes them perhaps the most sympathetic of all the types, but which also leaves them somewhat self-conscious, that is, highly sensitive to what others think of them. Loving and affectionate themselves, they need to be loved in return. In fact, Providers can be crushed by personal criticism, and are happiest when given ample appreciation both for themselves personally and for the tireless service they give to others.

My personal view of my personality is this:

A Number

This number holds a special place in my heart.

6 Short Years ago, a man proposed to me at the house the resides at this number.

Little did I know that 6 years later we would still be here.

Weather

Not that I have been outside since Thursday, but I guess this is our weather today. Thankfully my house has been sitting at a nice 70 Degrees while I have been home in bed or in my Lay-Z-Boy. I have felt a little spoiled but am ready to return back to life and reality tomorrow.

I am feeling MUCH better and am SO SO thankful to my amazing doctor, Dr. Kozak, and brother in law David, my PT, who have been taking incredibly good care of my back. Fingers crossed this is the road to recovery, once again.

I did manage to make dinner tonight for my sweet man who has been at my side as well taking care of me.

He LOVES meatballs and I love this recipe. It's cheap and easy and pretty effortless. I would love to take credit for it, but alas I cannot.

Unusual

Little patches of green popping up in my front yard is pretty unusual.

I can't wait until the whole yard is covered!!

Something New

These are my new battle scars.

Got 2 more injections today and they hurt, I'm not gonna lie.

A friend on Facebook said I should tell people I git bitten by my favorite vampire.

Do you think these would pass??

Technology

This little piece of technology connects me to pretty much anything I want it to.

Anything except Blogger...

But I really do love my phone. I feel spoiled every time I use it.

PINK!

As strange as this may sound,  I'm not a GIANT fan of pink.

I wear it sometimes, buts it's no Lime Green

So finding something pink to post about was a little tough.

Until I went outside and saw these blooms on my trees:

Aren't they gorgeous??

And then I remembered that this little girl wore Pink to her birthday party last Saturday:

Isn't she a doll?

I love this face.

She is a sweet gift that has blessed our family in so many ways.

I thought about using my post from yesterday again, it totally fits today's theme.

However I didn't.

So I have two things I can't live without today,

And that would be my incredible parents.

They have taught me everything I know.

I would not be the person I am without these two people.

I know without a doubt in my mind that they were meant to be my parents.

I am incredibly blessed to have them in my life.

I love you Mom and Dad.

But as I started thinking of all these favorite places, 

I realized something.

I don't care where I am at, as long as this man is by my side, anywhere can be a favorite place.

this man has changed my life in more ways than one and as long as I have him by my side

I can be happy.

I LOVE BOOKS!!

I LOVE READING!!

I have probably read this book a dozen or so times, but to me a book never gets old.

And living in such a technical age where there are iphones and kindles and all sorts of gadgets that you can read a book on, but to me there is nothing better than a real life book.

I love being able to turn the pages and smell the paper and ink.

In another life I think I would be a writer or a professional book reader

Love

This is the BEST saying I have ever found.

(However if it were Jeff's blog he would say we run on love and Dr. Pepper)

And speaking of Jeff, I do LOVE him.

Jeff's brother is the Superintendent of the building of the LDS Gilbert Temple.

This was taken Monday evening when Moroni arrived to be set in place today.

Unfortunately I never made it there, but it's seriously amazing to get to be so close to the building of a Temple.

We sure love Ryan and the amazing job he is doing for The Lord.

Grass

And boy am I watering mine. 

We ran into a little issue with the spur of the moment rain storm last week, but I just know those little seeds are gonna sprout something  FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

Mom

Mothers Day is always a bittersweet day for me.

Sweet:

I love my momma more than any words in the English language could describe.

She's classy, goofy, fun, creative and a spiritual GIANT.

She is more than my mom, she's my sister and my friend.

She is ALWAYS there for my good times and bad, happy and sad.

I know without a doubt that she was meant to be my mother.

Bitter:

I am not a mother. It's an incredibly difficult thing to live with every day. Especially on mother's day.

My heart aches with pain and sadness more on this day than any other.

I do know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me.

I know He loves me.

I know He doesn't want me to be sad.

But I also know He is okay if I am.

Someday I hope my heart and mind can change enough so that Mother's Day is only sweet, 

but until then...

Something that makes me happy

Vacuum lines in the carpet.

I know its a weird thing to be happy about but it puts my soul at ease seeing those lines in the carpet, knowing my carpet is nice and clean

Kitchen

I think every month I've done the photo a day challenge there has been the kitchen category, weird right?

Any who,

my clean Kitchen is no thanks to me. My dear sweet husband has been amazing this last week. With me being handicapped he has made sure our home is clean and tidy. He knows it makes me feel better.

I am one lucky gal!!

Something I Do Every Day

I water my plants.

These were given to me by the best Gardener I know, my daddy.

They are Asparagus Ferns and they grow like weeds. 

I LOVE that they are green and happy.

And speaking of green...

WE FINALLY PLANTED GRASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you know me at all, you know i have waited a LONG LONG LONG time to have grass planted.

The nicest guy named Alberto came over Friday night and Saturday morning and leveled all of the dirt.

And once he finished Jeff threw on the seed and fertilizer!

A painted house, growing trees and grass. 

Ahhhh!!!!!!!! 

I'm so excited!

A Smell I Adore

I love it when he wears this. I especially love when he has driven the truck and as I get in to drive it I get a sniff of it from the seat belt.

I love the way my man smells. Makes me feel home

Someone That Inspires You

There are quite a few people that I could post about for this category. I am so blessed to have so many truly amazing people in my life.

However,

Today I feel inspired and thankful for Mrs. Bev Turley.

She is spunky, spirited, gifted, talented, kind, giving, spiritual, creative, compassionate, loving, selfless and down right amazing.

Bev and I got to meet in our ward at church by being put into Young Women's together.

From the moment we met, I knew we would be instant friends.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars for having this amazing woman in my life.

I feel so blessed to know her and to be considered her friend.

Thanks Bev for all you do and all you are.

I love you like family, maybe a little more.

There are many ways I thought of posting about the subject You.

But I remember that I usually try to wiggle out of self portrait themes a little too easily.

I in shock and awe that I look half way decent because I certainly don't feel that way.

But I remember someone telling me to fake it until I make it.

So here you go:

I am slowly feeling a little better each day. The injection in my back was a lot easier than the first one I had back in 2010 with Dr. L.

And my new doctor, Dr. K is an amazing and brilliant man that I entrust my life with.

However, he told me that this is never a fun process for the body to go through so it's completely normal for my body to feel like it's yelling at me right now.

So until my body decides it's time to quit yelling, I will sit/lay here and take it.

Birds

If the title is Birds, do you really think I would post about anything other than an

OWL??

I don't know what it is, but I am creepily obsessed with Owls.

They cute and silly, but in real life they are majestic and graceful.

My future children better learn to like them if they don't come out of the womb liking them.

Because it's pretty much the theme for every nursery and kids room I have.

And Happy Cinco de Mayo, I spent it on pain pills and in bed. No tacos, salsa or guacamole for me. But here's to next year!!

Fun

Yesterday I got to have an Epidural in my back.

 Today Has not gone quite as well as I had hoped.

This tonight this is my idea of fun.

Ice Cream, a movie and some Happy Pain Pills!

Peace

Watching  the Ballet always makes me feel peaceful. The grace and beauty they share is amazing.
