Costco and Matt Leinart

So yesterday I had to make a pit stop at Costco to get some supplies for work. I work in Ahwatukee so I naturally went to the closest Costco which is the one over by Chandler Mall. I walk in with my cash and Costco card and nothing else. As I am walking through the store looking for Ziploc sandwich bags I pass by a tall and handsome man pushing a baby in a cart. As I looked closer at the man, I realized it was Matt Leinart!! Oh my heck....he's a lot cuter in person than on TV. I then start to look at myself and realize how crappy I looked that day. I didn't have my phone to take a picture or anything so I just let it go. SO I got my stuff and headed towards the check-out line and who know who was standing next to me. So we had a friendly conversation about his neighborhood Costco and about his son....which was adorable to say the least, and he and I parted ways. I have nothing to document this experience or to prove that it happened, but all I have to say is HOT! MUCH better looking in person. Too bad he couldn't say the same for me because I did NOT look good. Greasy hair, glasses, no make-up....yup, that was me.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Jeff, but even Jeff said it was OK to think he's cute!!

Totally Unexpected Surprise...

I got into work this morning and I found these sitting on my desk...
At first I thought that they were for someone else, like another gal named Jennifer that works in my office because she gets flowers on like a weekly basis... but then I read the card...
I guess Administrative Professionals Day is tomorrow and I am off on Wednesdays so they did this today. I was so surprised!! I have the 2 best bosses in the whole entire world. Not only do I do the finances for the company but I am pretty much their assistant as well. This was a pleasant and welcomed surprise and a definite pick me up.
So to those of you that are "Administrative Professionals"....have a great day tomorrow and I hope you have amazing people to work for like I do.

Calling All Dog Owners

I need some help...I am looking for a new dog groomer that is in the East Valley....not too far East....but I DON'T WANT PETSMART!

I did take Chowder to Petsmart and I have been totally unsatisfied for what I pay them. SO I was wondering if you all could tell me where you take your pooches to get clipped. It's starting to get hotter and I need to get Chowder shaved.

So if you know of a place that isn't too expensive and not too far away, please let me know...

A great day off

Yesterday I had the day off and I must say that I had an all around good day! It really all started Tuesday night when I got a call from my OB/GYN's office...and no I'm not pregnant. Last week I went and had a bunch of blood work done because I have really been struggling with losing pounds and I have almost felt like my body has been fighting against me. So I just wanted to check all of my hormone levels to make sure everything was working OK.

Well Tuesday night I got a call from Linda the the OB/GYN's office and she said that I didn't have anything life threatening that would prevent children, YEAH!! But that my thyroid was basically not working at all, which is called Hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed with this like 6 years ago, but every other time after that everyone said it was normal, so I thought nothing of it. Well having a non-functioning thyroid explains SO MUCH! Why I get sick so much, am tired all the time, having trouble losing weight, ALL EXPLAINED!! So all I have to do now is go see my regular doctor, have him look over the tests and get on some medication! I was so relieved! In my mind I was thinking the worst because I guess that's the kind of person I am....so I am SO glad I was wrong.

So, in celebration my mom and I went to Crackers & Co. Cafe!!
SO GOOD!!!! I had the baked potato soup and half tuna on whole wheat!! I was in heaven, healthy heaven, but heaven. Then we went and did a little window shopping at the Orange Patch Boutique and found tonz of stuff that I wanted but couldn't afford!! Went to the eye doctor, got approved for Lasik surgery, YEAH!! Went and got some groceries at good ol' Walmart, made dinner and went to mutual!

So it wasn't a totally eventful day, but the great news Tuesday night made my day...heck it's making my week! And the new episode of The Office is on tonight and what could get better than that!!

The Office

I LOVE THE OFFICE....I feel like screaming that from the top of my lungs. I haven't had the chance to watch this show in a really long time and last night 4 episodes were on NBC and I was in heaven. I haven't laughed that hard in a super long time. Michael and Dwight are by far my favorites. The best episode of the night was where Michale decided to recreate "Survivorman" for himself and he was "lost" in the Scranton Wilderness for almost like 2 hours.....HILARIOUS!!! But I am so appreciative of awesome TV shows like this that allow me to laugh and break away from my crazy life. Thank you to NBC for showing 4 episodes last night and thank you to the writers for going back to work so that next Thursday we get to see an ALL NEW EPISODE!

Not much new to report

I have been on antibiotics since Tuesday and I'm still not feeling 100%, but I'm getting there. Waking up my throat feels raw and my nose is completley stuffed, but I guess that is just life! Needless to say, when I went back to the gym for the first time in a week, it felt like I was starting all over again. I hadn't eaten very much all week because I had difficulty swallowing, but I still managed to maintain my weight by retaining more water than usual....if you all catch my drift....So I'm hopping back on the diet train today, trying to get back in my regimen....I'm starting to feel like I just want to be lazy because I'm tired and cranky and just not in a great diet mood, but I don't really have a choice at this point!! So here's my kick off to the new week, in hopes that my attitude changes and I focus all of my crankiness and frustrations on my workouts!!

A few of my other siblings posted some of our CUTE family pics on their blogs, so I decided that I should post some cute ones too!! This is how I've felt since Tuesday...

This picture correctly displays my emotions from Tuesday!! I went to the gym to meet with Brian and we did my measurements....I will admit that I will really nervous, but determined all at the same time. When all was said and done, these are my results....
6 lbs of fat lost
3 lbs of muscle gained
2 inches lost
my body fat % went down by 4 percentage points.... HOLY COW??!!
All of my stress and worry washed away and I wanted to hit Brian for making me feel bad on Saturday for not losing pounds on the scale. I was on CLOUD 9. I knew that I was doing well, but this far exceeded my expectations. Needless to say, Jeff was glad that he didn't have to scoop me up off the floor again. Those little numbers have given me the BEST motivation to work even harder and do even better!!
Again, I need to say thank you to you ALL for your sweet comments, you will never know how much they touched my heart and helped me to stay motivated!!
In other news...I'm sure my brother Aaron is doing this same Snoopy happy dance above because he FINALLY made it into Dental School, and he got into the one in Mesa, so they don't even have to move away again. He has had the LONGEST battle EVER in trying to get in to school and we couldn't be more proud of Aaron and his dedication and hard work. Congratulations to Aaron and his sweet wife Melissa, we are SO excited for you!!
