Inerview

I had the Interview Monday, I felt like it went really well.
Said she would call me Tuesday to come in and meet the entire staff to make sure I was a good fit.
Tuesday came and went, and now Wednesday is not looking too bright either.

So I am waiting. Mostly impatiently, trying to figure out what to do?
Do I call them?
Do I wait?

What would you do if you thought it went really well and haven't heard back yet?

Calling all Friends

If any of my blogger friends have any extra prayers hanging around I would be eternally grateful if you would consider using one for me.

I mentioned earlier that I had some job interviews this week and one got moved to Monday. The one I had one Tuesday was okay, but not really what I have been looking for. Now I know that beggars can't and shouldn't be choosers, but I have a feeling about this interview on Monday.

I have been crossing my fingers and toes and saying a lot of prayers hoping that this job will be it.

So again, if you remember and feel like you could spare a couple of prayers for me, I would love you for life.

Being without a job for this long has really made me realize my blessings and has helped me to understand The Lord's Tender Mercies.

Thanks to you all. Your support thus far is truly appreciated and noticed!!

Adventures in Cooking

One of the goals I set for the year was to try and cook one thing I have never cooked before.
Last night's task was Lasagna
(I wish I could tell you that this was a picture of the one I made, but it's not.
I forgot to take a picture before we devoured it.)
I used me mom's recipe and it turned out pretty good.
It was seriously not as hard as I had always imagined.
I used real Ricotta Cheese and I didn't like it very much, because I didn't really get the flavor I was looking for. But for the most part, I was really satisfied with the way it turned out.
Another goal is to post about my progress with each new recipe I try.

So 1 down, many more to go!!

Goals and TO DO's

We had the most WONDERFUL Sacrament meeting yesterday.
The speakers spoke on attainable goals and how best to achieve them.

I came away from church yesterday feeling so enriched.
SO I went right home and wrote down some attainable goals that I know I could accomplish.

I have been in such a rut and yesterday was such an incredible boost.

I even have 2 job interviews set up for this week.
My goals are a bit personal, so I don't want to share what they are, but I am excited to see my progress. I have never been good at goal setting, but I feel like this is something I need to be better at.
They said if you write your goals down on a to-do list, it makes them a lot easier to accomplish.
So here is to my to-do list this week.
Wish me luck!

Holidays

So this Holiday Season you could say I was a bit of a Grump.
I was self absorbed and sad about all of the things that I didn't have and couldn't change.
Until all of our family came into town.
It made me realize that Christmas time is all about service and being with the ones you love.
I felt so silly for acting so selfishly.

SO thankfully because I turned around my attitude, Jeff and I had a really wonderful Christmas.

So that this isn't a pictureless post, I have some pictures of my new flower garden given to us by my Daddy for Christmas. He picked out the flowers and planted them too. I am so excited for these babies!!
This is a full view of the flower bed. I am in love. Makes me feel really homey.
Here is a picture of our first Rose Bud coming up!
Then we have these pretty ones, I can't remember what they are called, but I think they are my favs!!
And lastly, some yellow pansies.

I hope everyone had a good holiday season filled with joy and love and I am looking forward to a new year with a new attitude.

Random Act of Kidness

Dear Kind Person in Front of us in the Drive through at Filibertos,

Thank you for purchasing our dinner late Saturday Night. It was an extremely kind gesture from you as a complete stranger and really made Jeff and I feel the Holiday Spirit.

Sincerely,

The Johnson's

P.S. Now I get the pleasure of figuring out how to pay it forward for someone else.

Merry Christmas!!

Not much to blog about

Not too much has been going on over here these days.

Jeff had a birthday. We celebrated with family and friends and had a good time doing so.

Christmas is well on it's way, the shopping is done and the decorations are up.

We got some new bookcases ( new to me) for our family room for free. I will post some pictures soon.

I haven't been in the Christmas mood all of December and I am hoping that it will kick in before it's too late. I just need to find my reason for the season this year.

That's all for now.
