GREAT NEWS!!!

I got a job!! Thanks to Jen Ray for the referral!! I will be working in the front office at Skyline Family Medicine. I am so excited I can hardly contain my joy!!
I know that it is only because of faith and prayers and the love of my Father in Heaven that I was able to get this opportunity. Thank you all so much for your kind words and thoughts!! I couldn't have done this without you!

I start on Monday!!

Oh and on a sort of sour note...I broke my pinky toe on Monday and thought i was about to freakin die. I ran into my couch and bent my pinky toe completely backwards, neat huh? It's all sorts of purple and weird looking...I took a picture of it, but decided against posting it because it is really yucky! So I am hobbling around like a tardo. That's what I get for trying to play nice with my couch.

Endurance

I think I am finally at a place where I can post about this. Last Tuesday I was let go from my job. It was honestly one of the most difficult things I have gone through in a really long time. I absolutely 100% LOVED my job and was heartbroken at the news that I was being let go. Finances are really tight and Jeff and I have never really had to deal with that, so it's a new adventure for us. I haven't cried in 2 whole days and that is quite the accomplishment for me. SO I am actively looking for a job and I haven't had any bites yet, but I haven faith that something good will come along.

Thanks to countless friends and family, I am finally in a place where I can say that I think this is for the better and I know something GREAT will come out of this. The sweet girls that I used to work with sent me flowers on Friday and I have gotten phone calls and emails form lots of people with support and encouragement.

My goal for the coming weeks is to endure and hang in there. I know that I will find something!!

East Coast 2008

Because we took a lot of pics, I am going to highlight my favs, and you can see the rest in the slide show below.

This is Jeff with our sweet rental car. The GMC Acadia. I WANT ONE OF THESE SO BAD NOW! It was a PIMP ride.

Jeff and I went with his sister and 3 nieces to the Museum of Natural History in New York City. BORING! This was SO not like the movie Night at the Museum. A total let down. I wish we could have gone to the Met instead!

This was on the balcony of our hotel room in Newport, RI. Jeff and I are planning to have our summer home there when we are FILTHY rich! We stayed on Goat Island at the Hyatt. it was AMAZING.

This was our view from our hotel room balcony. Gorgeous, huh? This is called Narragansett Bay.

As most of you know, I LOVE zebra print and these were seats at a restaurant we ate at. Sweet huh?

This was our last day in Newport, rainy and a fine 63 degrees. It was extremely difficult to leave.

This was at a beach we found in Middletown, RI.  A hop away from Newport. The water was freezing, but it sure was beautiful!

This was the "Cliff Walk" which is behind all of the mansions in Newport. It was a really long walk, but the sites were breath taking.

This was in front of a building on the campus of Yale! Yale honestly has the coolest buildings to go to school in. I wish I could be a student there! But I am definitely NOT that smart. The campus is gorgeous and you can see more of the amazing buildings in the slide show!

I am point to my building! If you can read it, it says Johnson! Pretty cool I must say! P.S. CT started to get really muggy this day so my hair was NOT looking so great!
This was at some kind of "look out point" in Hamden, CT where Jen, Jeff's sister, lives. The view was pretty cool. Of course we decided to take a picture with the parking lot in the background. We are SO smart!

This HAS to be my favorite picture. This is our niece Emily. She is the sweetest, cutest thing ever! We had LOTS of fun with her. And this shows what a great Dad Jeff is going to be someday. Although he will never admit that.

And this is my next favorite. The other little girl is our niece Becca and boy does she love her Uncle Jeffy. They were inseparable! This is in their backyard.

I didn't take ANY pictures in Boston because I didn't see anything worth it. It was SO crowded and hot that all I wanted to do was go home. I was really disappointed in Boston. Nothing like I thought it would be.

Addicted...

I finally gave in and started reading these...
I finished what I thought was the last book of the series on our vacation and was totally upset that they were over? But little did I know....there is a 4th book coming out on Aug. 2nd!! Hooray!!
I have never been more "into" a book in my entire life. The thing that were happening to Bella, I internalized and felt like it was happening to me! I cried A LOT while reading these. Thank goodness I wasn't single reading these or I might have gone into a bout of depression!!
Jeff was thrilled when I finished reading them because he felt like he finally got his wife back, so needless to say he is not looking forward to the fourth book nearly as much as I am.
Side not....I am almost finished getting my pics ready to Post...I'm hoping for a super vacation post tomorrow!! Stay Tuned!

No knockoffs here ladies. As Jeff and I were driving to Rhode Island from Connecticut, we found an outlet mall and there was a Coach store with AMAZING deals on handbags! My amazing and wonderful husband decided I was worth it and bought this for me!! Thanks babe!! You are the BEST! More pictures of our super fun trip to come!!

Freaking Out...

Do you ever wake up and know that you are just going to have one of those days?? Well that is how I felt on Monday when I awoke and it has continued throughout this week and I haven't been able to get out of this funk that I'm in. Maybe it's because Jeff and I are going on vacation in T minus 1 week and I feel totally unprepared and adding a stressful workload on top of that.

Anyways, I need some suggestions to help myself out of this hole I feel like I'm in....

Tagged...

Thanks to my dear friend Trev Denton ...I have been tagged...it's been a while since I have been tagged and because I cherish Trev OH SO MUCH, I decided to give it a whirl!!

Here we go...

5 things I am looking forward to:
1. Getting to finally spend a weekend with my cute husband. He's been gone on weekends for the last month or so and I am missing him terribly!
2. Next week only having to work for 2 days. Monday is memorial day and then I leave for vacation on Thursday!
3. Going on vacation on Thursday for a week and a half!! And getting to see family and places that I have never been to!
4. Getting my hair cut and colored on Friday by my amazing sister-in-law Jel.
5. Going to see the new Indiana Jones movie on Friday with all my favorite peeps.

5 things I am grateful for:
1. Good friends. Even though they don't live close, and you all know who you are, I love you just as much as I did when I saw you everyday! You girls are an inspiration to me and I love you all to pieces!
2. A Testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ. Life just wouldn't be possible without it.
3. A good pair of shoes. Nothing can brighten my day, week, month or year like a GREAT pair of shoes!
4. Awesome parents and parent's-in-law! I couldn't be luckier to have amazing parents that bend over backwards to help me. Also to have in-laws that do the same!
5. Of course this wouldn't be complete without a shout-out to my sweet husband! Life just wouldn't be as sweet without you in it. You make everyday wonderful!

5 things I wish I could do:
1. Take amazing pictures! I love being able to look at amazing pictures and wish that I too could develop that talent!
2. Be crafty and learn how to digi-scrap. This is one talent I do not posses and wish I did.
3. Be more confident. I wish I loved myself as much as Jeff does! I wish I could look in the mirror and be happy with the way I look. I'm working on it though!
4. Loose my last 10 - 15 lbs. of weight and fit into my "skinny" jeans again!
5. Have a baby! I am feeling that maternal instinct kicking in and I am wanting to be a mommy SO bad. All I have to do is convince Jeff that this is a good idea!

5 things i would do if i suddenly became a oodles of money-aire :
1. buy a new wardrobe for my hubby. Slowly but surely I am getting there, but he needs LOTS of help! 5 shirts to wear just doesn't cut the mustard for me.
2. hire a personal chef to cook for me...i like to cook, but I hate to cook, does that make sense to anyone?
3. go to Disneyland. I used to be a Disneyland whore and went all the time. And now I am feeling a major void for the happiest place on earth!!
4. fill up my gas tank for a year without worrying about prices.
5. save my oodles of money for a rainy day and do whatever I feel like!

i wanna read some answers from everyone. and just to name a few...

Kristy, my awesome sister who can make and do anything and make it fabulous!
Jen Ray, my fellow Bunco Chiquita and old co-worker from Ned's Krazy Sub
Brianne, my oh so sexy friend from back in the day
Jel, my sweet sister-in-law with the cutest kids in the world
Melissa, my other sweet sister-in-law whom I LOVE to laugh and giggle with because she is SO fun!

Here are the rules: you can change the "5 things" categories to anything you'd like, but you have to keep it classy, and don't be afraid to offend a few people along the way. j/k
