Great Weekend!!

So this is how my weekend started off...I had to get on the scale and get weighed after my difficult and exhausting week of training... I got on the scale and, dun dun dun..
That's right, count em up...4 lbs lighter my friends!!! I seriously couldn't believe my eyes! I was the happiest camper EVER!!! All of my incredibly hard work is paying off... I am now ever more motivated to keep going!!

So then, that afternoon, we had family pics scheduled with One Happy Momma , and she did an awesome job! It was seriously SO fun, I can't WAIT to see how they turn out.

Afterwards we all went to dinner at Rosa's, yum, and went back to our house for a little family Guitar Hero. Pics and video to come later, Andy, my brother, was absolutely hilarious to watch. Kristy and Dave missed out on a good time!! But we brought it over to my parent's house on Sunday and Kristy and my mom got in on the action. Thanks to my family for an awesome weekend!! I don't think we've had that much fun together in a long time!!

I DID IT!!!!!!

I had my first workout last night and I was able to meet with the trainer at the gym and I used my dashing good looks and isatiable charm to talk him down to a reasonable price! This morning it was EXTREMELY hard to get out of bed because my legs hurt so INCREDIBLY bad. But that just goes to show how truly out of shape I really am.

SO here is to a new body and new lifestyle! My trainer was telling me about the Gym's success stories and showed me all of these before/after pictures and I was thinking, DO I HAVE A BEFORE picture?? And he says, everyone has one, and he's right!! I found mine last night....I don't want to post it because I'm just not that comforatble letting all of you see me at my lowest point, but I will definitely show you my after!

I'm really pumped and excited to finally be motivated to be skinny again!! So ny summer time, Jeff won't be able to keep his hands off of me!!
I also got some cute pics from Valentines day! Jeff and bought me GORGEOUS roses and had them sent to me at work, which I LOVE and we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, where else?? So I will try to post those later!! Oh yeah....Jeff got money to get his Camaro tinted!! Boy was he a happy camper!

FRUSTATED

Ok, so after my post about LOVING french fries yesterday, I decided that I was going to start back up at the gym, again...because I'm feeling like a heffer and I'm not very happy about it, probably becaseu I'm freaking addicted to french fries. So I went to the gym and worked out for like 45 min and didn't feel great, but I didn't feel worse...yet.

I work out at Fitness Works and I see LOTS of people working with the trainers there, so I decided to talk to one of them and see what the prices were, etc. So I'm talking to this trainer, his name was Brian, very nice by the way. He starts asking me all these questions, about my health, what I eat....needless to say I was embarassed about the french fry addiction. He then says "Ok, it's time to weigh you and take your measurements" What the...?? In front of everyone?? Oh yes, that's right. Have you ever had the fat test where they pinch your fat in all sorts of places?? That was me, public humiliation 101. So after going through all of that mental and emotional torment, he says "I think I can really help you, give me 4 months and I can have you down to your ideal weight, if not training sessions will be free until you get there." I'm thinking OK, sounds good, 4 months and justin time for summer, not bad! Then he lowered the BOOM on me..."3 training sessions a week for 4 months comes to...$2400!" WHAT?? 2400 freaking dollars?? You could buy a car for that....not a great one, but a car! So he then proceeds to tell me that I get one complimentary session for free and then I can decide if I want to sign up.

Needless to say I went home more depressed than when I got there, I could almost see myself in my skinny jeans again, and then he had to yank them away with his price! I'm meeting with him again tomorrow for my free session, and I'm gonna see if I can't use my charm and talk his price down to something a little more reasonable for my budget. Wish me luck!

BORED!!!

Here's all you never wanted to know:

10 years ago:
Umm, I was in 8th grade. Probably getting ready for cheer tryouts, yes I desperately wanted to be a cheerleader, but sadly my dream never came true. I can honestly say it was most definitely a good thing!! However, maybe I woudn't be so chunky now, Oh well!! I was a beehive, oh my, and probably more boy crazy than ever!!

5 things on my to-do list today:
1. Go to work - check
2. make dinner - My attempt at Green Chile Pork, I will let you know how it turns out
3. clean my bedroom, wash the sheets and towels
4. Iron Jeff's work shirts
5. Go to the Grocery store

5 Snacks I enjoy:

1. McDonalds French Fries - sad, but true
2. Dreyer's Mint Dibs - just found out how truly enjoyable these really are
3. Apples and Peanut Butter
4. Honey Roasted Peanuts
5. Cheese!! String, cubes, slices...but it can't be the fake stuff

3 of my bad habits:
1. Picking at my cuticles
2. laziness
3. being OCD, Jeff tries to cure me ALL the time, I think it only makes it worse!

5 places I have lived:
1. Mesa
2. Mesa
3. Mesa
4. Mesa
5. And yes, if you haven't guessed, MESA!! I need to get out of here...

5 jobs that I have had:
1. Ned's Krazy Sub
2. File Girl
3. Collections Specialist, Insurance Verifier - Orthologic/DJ Orthopedics
4. Receptionist - MarineMax of Arizona
5. Finance Manager - B. McLaughlin Associates - I LOVE MY JOB

5 Things people don't know about me:

1. My Dad's nickname for me is Squirt. I'm not really sure how this came about, but I still get called this by my dad.

2. I really want to go back to College and finish my degree. I have always felt bad about dropping out and not applying myslef like I should have.

3. I wish Jeff and I could move away. Not forever, but just for a little while. I would love to live on our own, in a different state and be able to experience a different kind of life!

4. I tried out for the Arizona Idol a few years back, hoping to win it big and be a BIG star. Afterwards, I realized that I wasn't cut out for that scene. I don't think I have the voice for that kind of music. I think I'm a pretty good singer, but not a pop star!! I'm quite content singing to my dog...and in church.

5. My siblings will attest to this, but I was a royal BRAT as a kid. I cried to get my way, threw fits and temper tantrums as often as I could, and was a HUGE pain in the you know what! I now cringe when I think what a brat I was and continually apologize to my mother for having to put up with me; I can only pray that I don't get a kid just like me!

I don't really want to tag anyone, but I would love to know a little more about all of my peeps!

Frustrated

I try not to be too political on here, but after last night's results, I cannot believe that this loser
is winning the repbulican vote, lets label him as brusselsprouts. I am also extrememly concerned that this loser
is winning the democratic vote, we will label her liver. I was talking to my in-laws last night and came up with this analogy. If these 2 end up being the presidential nominess, it would be like having to choose between liver and brusslesprouts for dinner. I hate both of these things and I'm pretty sure they're not all that good for you. I am slightly concered for the future of our country if this is all I have to choose between. I am disappointed, and VERY nervous!!

Long awaited....

OK, I finally got around to posting pictures of our new trees in our front yard! Yeah, for landscaping right??It has been a long process, but I am SO glad we are finally doing it! We put in 5 trees along the perimeter of our house and Grass is just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited. We had planned on putting in our sprinklers, however with the last big rain storm, our back porch decided to spring a leak, which brought on this project...

That's right, we had to replace the ENTIRE back porch, roof and all. Not a project that we had really planned for, but Jeff's dad and brother's started Thursday and Finished Saturday afternoon. We still have a LOT of clean-up to do, but at least I have a porch again.
And lastly, Chowder was in GREAT need of a MAJOR hair cut, so he got clipped today and to me he doesn't even look like the same dog, so I'm hoping it grows in pretty fast. He's still adorable and I can't help but love him.

Reflections of Christ

For mutual last night we took our girls to the Visitor's Center and we were able to view trhe new exhibit there called "Reflections of Christ" done by Mark Mabry and many others. It was one of themost incredible experiences I have EVER had. You can view some of the documentary about these photos here: http://mabrystudios.typepad.com/reflections_of_christ/

I wish I could put into words how I felt when I was looking at his pictures, but I was actually speechless. I felt a surge of the Spirit, and it was a humbling and amazing experience. So if you haven't gone, PLEASE GO SEE THIS EXHIBIT. You won't regret it. I feel an added sense of renewal to my testimony of my Savior.

So needless to say, mutual was SO worth going.
