Happy Thanksgiving

Jeff and I had a really good Thanksgiving. It started out with a morning run in the cool air with Chowder. Stopped by good old QT for the morning paper for some hopping deals. Went to my in-law's for dinner, it was delicious!! Watched some Kung Fu Panda for the first time EVER and LOVED it!! . Jeff is not a fan of Jack Black, so he was not as big of a fan as I.

Next we were off to my parent's house, had some pie. Mixed it up with my siblings and had some good laughs. Friday started off with Jeff waking up bright and early for the annual Duck hunt with his Perkins cousins. Didn't get any duck, but had fun playing in the mud with our truck. I was 

car-less all day, but my mom so loving drove me to Michael's and Hobby Lobby for some stuff I needed for a church lesson. Watched Dan in Real Life 

....LOVED IT!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO EVERYONE!! Took Chowder for a walk, when I got home, felt like a cold was coming on. Jeff came home

Saturday, I deep cleaned my house because my siblings were coming over for a Mexican Potluck and  little Guitar Hero action. It was SO fun to spend time with my family. Andy & Tracy, we wish you lived here because it was so fun to have you home!! Food was delicious, company was great. Still feeling like death is overtaking my body.

Sunday, went to Church, did a little tithing settlement with our new Bishop. He is going to be wonderful!! Still felt like death. Went to bed early...

So I have all of those events and I have nothing to show for it. Lame, I know. I had my camera the WHOLE time and forgot to use it!! Hope everyone had a happy turkey day. I am still trying to kick this mother of a cold!! Wish me luck!!

Toes and Warts

I know most of you will say you can't see anything, but I have had this tiny little wart on my pinky finger for over a year now, and all of a sudden it started to bother me. I tried the Over The Counter garbage and nothing happened, so at work today, I had my doc burn it off. She was like, it might hurt a little, and I was like yeah okay. So I went about my day and as I got home and sat on the couch my pinky starts to THROB in incredible pain! Who knew such a tiny little thing could cause so much hurt.

In other news....this is how my right foot has looked since my senior year in high school, pretty cute, huh?? I sure thought so....

2 toe rings, very classy, I know. Well this is how my foot looks now...

I had to take one off because it was causing my foot too much pain??!!! Is that a sign that I'm getting old? What the?? Seriously?? I've worn that ring for what seemed to me like eons and then all of a sudden it started jabbing into my toes and hurt to walk? What is this world coming  to? Seriously? Does this mean that I'm getting too old for toe rings?

ZEBRA!!!

  okay so maybe it's not a real one, but this has to be the most fantastic addition to my living room since Jeff and I got married. I saw this bench in an add at Stein Mart months ago, but it was MUCH too expensive for this girls taste. So my mom and I were out doing a little window shopping when low and behold, it was still at Stein Mart, and it was 50% off....so as I  was pondering the affects that might have on my budget, the sales lady approached me and said that if I came back on Saturday, it would be 60% off...what a flippin steal?!!!! So I called up my hubby who WILLINGLY said OK....so bright and early Saturday morning, this little ditty became MINE!!! I am so proud!  This was just one of those deals I couldn't bear to pass up!!! Thanks babe for always allowing me to have the thing I want. He is the best hubby in the world!

So onto other news...I have just been having a little bit of a rough patch. Life is just being life and I have been feeling a little Debbie Downer about everything. Well last week, I got home after an amazingly terrible day, and this little guy was the sweetest doggie you could ever find! He was excited to see me and he licked my cheek and sat lovingly by my side and didn't make a peep until I asked him to....he is truly Wo-man's best friend!!! I love my Chowder!!! 

 

LIfe is just hard sometimes, I have decided, and I just need to adjust to things not always going my way! I think I just need a break, and next week I will get one!! Here I come Thanksgiving!!!

I believe

I don't think that in the entire year I have had this blog I have ever made mention to the fact that I am LDS. I don't really like to get too political or religious but today I felt the need to express some feelings I have had in my heart today.

After watching a video of a riot that broke out in LA regarding Prop 8...I just have to say that I am so grateful for my faith and testimony of Jesus Christ. It makes these scary times in which we live, just a little bit easier to bear. I am proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Halloween...

I know this is way late, but we had the annual Johnson family pumpkin carving contest and here are mine and Jeff's entries....I thought of his idea...so I will take partial credit for it...
